The Stereotype of the Science and Art stream Kids

Alright, it's been a month since i last blogged.
So, March test just ended. You should have seen my face when i saw the Chemistry and Biology paper. I was about to cry. Seriously. But its over now, so yeah:)
I know people are like"Its just a test, no big deal." EH, if you don't do well in a test, how are you going to do well in the real exam? Here's the shocker, i actually study and care about my results and future. Even though i seem like I don't, I actually do. I have fun on a usual basis, bend the rules, sit right in between the fence of the "right" and "wrong", and do silly things, yolo with my besties and just enjoy life. Surprised? So yeah, i get into trouble occasionally but i like how the odds are always in my favor ;) Well, most of the time. ThankGodWeih :3

School has been quite cool:)
The juniors in form 3 are amazing:) Okay fine, some of them are super uneducated but what to do?Sigh. Form 4s are obviously are still amazing :3
And do i need to say anything about Batch 96'? ;D
Just the Form 2s. The Indian guys especially, like omg wtf is their problem. The moron actually cari pasal with me so yeah, we all know how it went down.
Other than that, the lalas. I don't get why they are always giving me that look. -eye roll-

Okay, i don't understand why people categorize the Science stream kids to be good, super smart, nerdy and the typical stereotype of a nerd. Yeap, the type that doesn't know how to have fun. Plus, i don't get why there's a stereotype for the Art stream kids being bad and not intelligent.
People should get it into their minds that not everybody in Science stream is good and not everybody in Art stream is bad.

Both streams have the good and the bad. Its true at first the stereotype exists but as time goes on, give it a rest. There are both Saints and Devils in each class. It comes down to the individual. Like the Science kids, i don't know who said they don't know how to have fun. Because you should see them, all of them are damn wild. I'm not saying it because i'm in Science stream, it's a universal fact, you should see us when music is blasted and teacher's not around. And for example, when people say "All Science Stream students are so smart!" I feel pressured. Seriously.

And how the hell can someone classify everybody in Art stream to be bad? I think its bullshit. Of course there are the really bad ones there but then its the same in Science stream isn't it? People from Art stream have helped me so many times and i'm so thankful to them for that. And they are so smart in their own way. I absolutely admire their creativity, like the guys who painted their face to look like the Joker and walked around the school, THAT was epic.

So yeah, i rest my case ;)
Stereotyping the Science and Art stream students got to stop. I did it long time ago, but then i grew up.

Debate 101 in Ace's World (Part 1)

Hey guys! Ya know how debate season is starting? Well wait, it has already started.
This year, the inter-form debate competition will be hosted by our school, obviously. And Anne, Sanjeeve, Pei Yii and I are hosting it. Well, we'll be adjudicating. Something i look forward to. The reason we will be holding this competition is to look for talents to take over as well as show that the English society does things. Killing two birds with a stone.
Oh right, as you know, Chinese New Year was last week. I went back to Penang. I had a great time and i'll blog about that next time. But anyways, when nosey relatives ask me what i do in school in a completely competitive way, i tell them I'm a school debater. With that, they have nothing to say.

People ask me why I love debate and why it means so much to me. Simple.
Debate has become part of my life. Growing up, i just needed to speak. If i don't talk, i'll feel stressed. LOL, its true, still it ;)
Well, debate is all about passion and the fire. It's not a game or an after school activity. It's a war out on a gory battlefield. I love it because of the adrenaline rush it gives me every time the first minute is up and I'm up there talking and affirming my stand. It's how you twist, turn and manipulate the topic to your advantage.
For our school, our team's motto is Grace, Poise and Awesomeness. We always go in with our pokerfaces and with the attitude of not only beating the other team but crushing them as well as blowing them up too. I do hope we'll go far this year as we're definitely giving it 101%. But who knows right? In the end, it's God's will.

Oh right, and senior year has been treating me very well. I'm enjoying every moment. There's the trips to colleges and campuses for our future too so yeah:) There are them dramas too but oh well, what's life without unwanted drama?

Well, it's past my curfew. A new thing set by dad :l
I got to go, nights :)

Happy Valentines Day!

Today's the day roses, chocolates, teddy bears and hearts are bought and given out to loved ones.
Somewhere out there, a guy is about to serenade a girl outside her window.
Somewhere out there, a guy is planning to surprise his girl with a huge teddy bear outside her door.
Somewhere out there, dinner dates are about to be carried out.
Somewhere out there, the D is about to meet the V.
Okay LOLLOL, I'll stop it.
Yes i've been watching Valentine's Day. Such an amazing movie :)
Well, you've heard one side of the story. Yeap, the couples' side of Valentines Day.

For the single peeps out there, Valentine's day is about buying discounted chocolate.. and storing them away. Yeap, they are smart to take advantage of this day. For them it's called Single Awareness Day!
Then they probably spend this day YOLO-ing with their friends or family. Movie outings, laser tag afternoons and so on.
Some of them don't mind being single but some of them do. And watching sappy romantic movies doesn't make it better.

For me, I don't mind being single. I'm actually glad I'm single? Ya know, no drama, no fights, no complications. But to be honest, sometimes i'm like "Am I thaaaaaaaaat ugly?'' Or "Is there something wrong with me?"
So yeah, i have doubts too. I used to be scared of commitment and didn't want to be tied down. WAIT NO. Let me rephrase that, i'm just scared of being committed to someone who is committed to me.
But then when i look at my friends who have relationships full of complication and drama, I'm sort of thankful I'm not going through that.
Plus, someone wise told me not to get in relationships so early in life.

I'll definitely wait to love and be loved :)

Happy Valentine's day guys! Whether you're in a relationship or single, enjoy this day :)

Love always, Ace :) xxx
