Debate 101 in Ace's World (Part 1)

Hey guys! Ya know how debate season is starting? Well wait, it has already started.
This year, the inter-form debate competition will be hosted by our school, obviously. And Anne, Sanjeeve, Pei Yii and I are hosting it. Well, we'll be adjudicating. Something i look forward to. The reason we will be holding this competition is to look for talents to take over as well as show that the English society does things. Killing two birds with a stone.
Oh right, as you know, Chinese New Year was last week. I went back to Penang. I had a great time and i'll blog about that next time. But anyways, when nosey relatives ask me what i do in school in a completely competitive way, i tell them I'm a school debater. With that, they have nothing to say.

People ask me why I love debate and why it means so much to me. Simple.
Debate has become part of my life. Growing up, i just needed to speak. If i don't talk, i'll feel stressed. LOL, its true, still it ;)
Well, debate is all about passion and the fire. It's not a game or an after school activity. It's a war out on a gory battlefield. I love it because of the adrenaline rush it gives me every time the first minute is up and I'm up there talking and affirming my stand. It's how you twist, turn and manipulate the topic to your advantage.
For our school, our team's motto is Grace, Poise and Awesomeness. We always go in with our pokerfaces and with the attitude of not only beating the other team but crushing them as well as blowing them up too. I do hope we'll go far this year as we're definitely giving it 101%. But who knows right? In the end, it's God's will.

Oh right, and senior year has been treating me very well. I'm enjoying every moment. There's the trips to colleges and campuses for our future too so yeah:) There are them dramas too but oh well, what's life without unwanted drama?

Well, it's past my curfew. A new thing set by dad :l

Happy Valentines Day!

Today's the day roses, chocolates, teddy bears and hearts are bought and given out to loved ones.

Somewhere out there, a guy is about to serenade a girl outside her window. 

Somewhere out there, a guy is planning to surprise his girl with a huge teddy bear outside her door.

Somewhere out there, dinner dates are about to be carried out.

Somewhere out there, the D is about to meet the V.

Yes i've been watching Valentine's Day. Such an amazing movie :)

Well, you've heard one side of the story. Yeap, the couples' side of Valentines Day.

For the single peeps out there, Valentine's day is about buying discounted chocolate.. and storing them away. Yeap, they are smart to take advantage of this day. For them it's called Single Awareness Day!

Then they probably spend this day YOLO-ing with their friends or family. Movie outings, laser tag afternoons and so on. 

Some of them don't mind being single but some of them do. And watching sappy romantic movies doesn't make it better. 

For me, I don't mind being single. I'm actually glad I'm single? Ya know, no drama, no fights, no complications. But to be honest, sometimes i'm like "Am I thaaaaaaaaat ugly?'' Or "Is there something wrong with me?"

So yeah, i have doubts too. I used to be scared of commitment and didn't want to be tied down. WAIT NO. Let me rephrase that, i'm just scared of being committed to someone who is committed to me.

But then when i look at my friends who have relationships full of complication and drama, I'm sort of thankful I'm not going through that. 

Plus, someone wise told me not to get in relationships so early in life. 

I'll definitely wait to love and be loved :)

Okay anyways, that's how i start my Hello February 2013 blog post.

So its already the beginning of February. I just filled out the SPM application today. It was like a WOW moment. Like Omg i'm taking SPM in 10 months. 

January flew by. It was like really fast. Every day was filled with laughter, jokes, private jokes, camwhoring, more jokes, louder laughter and epicness:) 

Then there were the epic days where we just looked at each other and laughed like morons. As you know, we have complex minds:3 

Well there were them shitty days but hey, it was a bad day, not a bad life.

And best part is that i have amazing friends:) So it lightened up the load.

Oh, i like most of my juniors. Well there are quite a few i don't really like. For example, the junior in form 4 who keeps glaring and staring at me, that rude kid who did his stupid typical chinese gangster thing on me, I could have just whacked him right there but i didn't. 

I'm practicing Self control:) Someone wise told me to just ignore. He's like a few years older than me but whenever he's guiding me in any way, its like he's an uncle. Yes, he is extremely patient and responsible. You know I know :3
I still wonder how he is so patient :O Thank you Uncle, you're cool that way ya know:)

OH, and there's that junior who wonders if I'm dating one of my besties. NO LAH DOI. He's like a brother to me. I know the form 5 guys so well since we went through high school together till I know about most of their terrible habits and got turned off a long long time ago. 

So yeah, i hope February will be a cool month:) And oh, its CNY soon:) Yes, Penang it is. May the odds be ever in my favor.

And last but not least, a huge shoutout to Cai Yan for whipping all the golfer's asses at her tournament;)

Congratulations babe!:D So you guys better move, champ in the house yo ;)

But somehow, Foong and Radin got fooled and thought she went for street fight tournament. HAHAHA:P Memories ;)
